I was born and raised in Istanbul as a child of a local family. In my hometown, after elementary school, I attended middle and high schools where I started learning English at a young age.
Even as a high school student, I was fascinated by foreign languages, literature, and history. Following this passion, I studied foreign languages and pedagogy at the University of Istanbul, where I focused on linguistics and received my Bachelor of Education degree.
I love working as a private tour guide in Istanbul! Even during my student years, I dreamed of becoming a guide and sharing the fascinating culture and history of my hometown with visitors from all over the world. My goal was to combine my love for languages and history with the joy of meeting people outdoors, making every tour a personal journey.
Professional Journey: A Lifetime as a Licensed Istanbul Tour Guide
I received my license as an official tourist guide for the entire country after completing a one-year training program from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. I have been a member of the Chamber of Istanbul Tourist Guides (IRO) since 1988, with the license number: 34-02669.
As an Istanbul tour guide with a deep passion for cultural history, I have spent the past 38 years exploring every corner of this city. It is a great joy for me to translate this lifelong expertise into fascinating stories and shared experiences with you.
